Very fast service and really good authentic Mexican food! I found this location by surprise and when visiting a Walgreens and I'm really happy to have gone here. I ordered the Super Carne Asada burrito for $14 and it was sooo good. It comes with hot sauce and is moderate in size. I would love to come back. There's seating outside and with shade, but I strongly feel it would be good for to go/pick up orders just due to parking. Check out the most menu photos attached (:
this is a great quick spot for a burrito i went with the super chicken burrito the chicken is roasted perfectly - amazing flavor on everything i will say that the burrito was not wrapped the best so it was falling apart and the amount of salsa they put inside the burrito it was leaking everywhere, that's the only reason this doesn't get 5 starts quick service they get the food right out to you and everyone was super kind i will be eating here in the future
The Chicken, The Chicken, The Chicken! This spot will far exceed your expectations of what a fire grilled, garlic butter, and perfectly seasoned chicken tastes like! You will set this high on the measuring stick for any Charo Chicken type place hands down! The Nachos are my go too every time I go. The whole chicken is worth getting and eating for dinner later ;) Rice and beans are authentic as you will get from a mom and pop shop. The only con is the dinning area. There is not much space so if you have a big group, eat at home.
The chicken and all of the food really is super here! You'll drive right by unless you're looking for this place, but thankfully a friend referred me. Open since the 80's apparently??? Wow love to see that. I'll be back whenever I'm in Costa Mesa. Gracias!
This place never fails me. Since I moved out of the area I have had reoccurring dreams about chowing down on their delicious breakfast quesadillas. Authentic-to the core, one of the best places around to get fast Mexican food. One of my favourite things about this place is the salsa they make. Seating at this establishment is limited but great for take away.
Wow! Super Pollo made me fall in love with chicken again! During a recent Orange County visit, I found myself getting over a cold and needed some comfort food to take to my hotel room down the street. I stumbled into Super Pollo by chance, only after seeing their super cute outdoor seating area with umbrella covered tables, patio lighting, and lush green palms potted throughout the seating area. Even though I was eating in, I still love a little ambiance even if only while waiting for my food. The chicken is flame broiled while you wait, and comes with several flavor options; garlic butter and lemon, seasoned, and spicy. I chose the garlic butter and lemon, and let me just say that flavor combo packs a punch! The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful, and requires a handful of napkins to maintain decorum. Super Pollo is a small, hole-in-the-wall restauraunt, and I could see it easily getting overlooked in favor of other more flashy Costa Mesa and Newport Beach options. But I was really impressed with the flavor and the exceptional value found here. Do me a favor and check this place out! The staff are friendly, the food is great, and they've got a really cute patio area to enjoy your food. There's no valet, or super convenient parking aside from a limited number of spots in front, but you'll figure something out. Just remind yourself of the delicious chicken awaiting you, and you'll find a spot eventually.
Been coming here for many years now and keep forgetting to leave a short review. The chicken is consistently moist, flavorful and fresh each time and we have had this at least a couple dozen times now over the years. The chicken has way more flavor than that El crazy chicken place. If you like garlic you will like this chicken. It is marinated and cooked with many different spices along with a good amount of garlic. They even have minced garlic to put on after it's cooked. They have the typical side of rice and beans with both kinds of tortillas. There's at least 2 types of salsa available. The place is a real hole in the wall and there is no seating inside but have a few tables outside for dining. They are open for breakfast as well.
